Freddie Mac US 30-Year Mortgage Rate Rises to 6.3%

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate for week ending Sept. 25 rose to 6.3% from 6.26%, Freddie Mac data show.

• 15-year rate avg 5.49%, up from 5.41% a week earlier
• From the report: "Following several weeks of decline, mortgage rates inched up this week”
• In a report out earlier this week MBA said the 30-year fixed rate was 6.34% for the week ending last Friday
