Southwest Airlines Co.’s chief executive officer said he expects US regulators to approve a de-icing system fix on Boeing Co.’s 737 Max 7 and to certify the aircraft in the first quarter of 2026.

The smallest Boeing narrowbody jet is likely to begin flying routes for the carrier late next year, Bob Jordan told reporters at the US Chamber of Commerce aerospace conference on Tuesday.
