Israel has set up a “humanitarian area” in Gaza’s south as it expands a ground operation to take over Gaza City.

Gaza’s Khan Younis has been equipped with “vital humanitarian infrastructure,” which include field hospitals, water pipelines and water desalination facilities, and continuous deliveries of tents, food and medicinal supplies, which are to be coordinated with the UN and other international organizations, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.
