Labor Productivity Falls 1% in Canada, Most Since 2022

Canadian firms’ output per hour worked declined for a second straight quarter as the trade dispute with the US intensified.

Labor productivity fell 1% from April through June, according to data released Wednesday by Statistics Canada. That’s the biggest decline since the fourth quarter of 2022.
