Syria Open to Resuming Russian Patrols in South, Kommersant Says

The patrols would be aimed at curtailing Israeli military activity in Syria, the Moscow-based newspaper reported Tuesday, citing an unidentified person present at an Aug. 1 meeting in the Russian capital between Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani and the nation’s diaspora there.
