The New York Knicks have fired head coach Tom Thibodeau, fresh off their first appearance in an Eastern Conference final since 2000.

The Knicks are “singularly focused on winning a championship for our fans,” and decided to move in a new direction, Knicks President Leon Rose said in a statement.
