President Donald Trump said the US could examine the tax-exempt status of Columbia and Princeton universities after signaling that the Internal Revenue Service should tax Harvard as a political entity.

“It’s really a privilege, and it’s been abused by a lot more than Harvard,” Trump said Thursday in the Oval Office. “We’ll be looking at it very strongly, on the tax-exempt status subject.”
