Sudanese Army Plane Crashes Near Capital, Killing at Least 46

At least 46 people were killed when a Sudanese military plane crashed into a residential area near the capital on Tuesday night, the Health Ministry said.
Ten others were injured when the Antonov aircraft plunged into housing in the city of Omdurman, adjacent to Khartoum, according to a statement on Wednesday. Authorities didn’t suggest any cause for the crash, which occurred shortly after takeoff from a nearby military airport.
