Switzerland Sees Positive Momentum in Long-Running Talks With EU

Switzerland’s government moved a step closer to re-entering formal negotiations with the European Union aimed at resolving differences that derailed a previous treaty.
The government asked officials to draw up the key parameters for a negotiation mandate by the end of June, it said in a statement Wednesday. There is “positive momentum” at the “technical, diplomatic and political levels” in the current exploratory talks, it said.
