Three men were arrested under the Terrorism Act in Liverpool, in northwest England, after a car explosion at a hospital killed one person and injured another.

Merseyside Police said in a statement that officers were called after an explosion at the Women’s Hospital in the city center on Sunday morning. The car involved was understood to be a taxi.
