In early 2019, John Authers, a global markets and investment editor at Bloomberg News, wanted to catch up on his reading. He invited followers of his newsletter to recommend some books. The response was so enthusiastic that we decided to start Authers’ Notes, a live Q&A blog where writers and journalists discuss notable works about business, finance and economics.
Subjects ranged from shareholder activism to helicopter money, and the real-time conversations on our TOPLive blog -- including Bloomberg client questions and comments -- were lively and informative, sometimes wandering down unpredictable paths.
