Singapore’s GAO Capital Pte plans to launch Asia’s first locally managed fund of funds that allocates to other portfolios that use mathematical models to make investment choices.
The Best of QuantFlix Fund, or BoQ, will open to investors by the end of the year and will be capped at $100 million for capacity reasons, according to GAO co-founder Chauwei Yak. The fund emerges from a strategy that GAO has been trialing and that made an annualized 22 percent return over the past three years, she said.
