Canadian Solar Supplies 42.9 Megawatts of Panels for Japan Plant

Canadian Solar Inc., the third-largest producer of photovoltaic panels, supplied the 42.9-megawatt Takataya Hibiki plant in Japan.

Takataya Co. is developing the solar farm in Fukuoka prefecture, which is expected to begin generating enough power for about 13,600 homes in August, the Guelph, Ontario-based manufacturer said in a statement Wednesday. Terms weren’t disclosed.
