Activist Elliott Calls for Citrix Overhaul With Unit Sales

Citrix Systems Inc. should overhaul costs, evaluate selling two of its units, buy back shares and recruit more talented managers, activist investor Elliott Management Corp. said.
The hedge fund called for a meeting “in the next few weeks” to discuss the changes proposed in a letter to Citrix’s board, which was released publicly Thursday. Elliott disclosed a new 7.1 percent active stake in the software company.
