Apple Sneaks Up on Cheaper PCs

The drop in worldwide PC shipments slowed last year, from 10 percent to about 2 percent, according to market researcher IDC. The biggest winner among the top companies was Apple, which boosted shipments by almost 16 percent and took the No. 5 spot from Asustek.
