House Passes Bill to Strengthen Security at U.S. Embassies

The U.S. House passed a bill that would authorize additional Marines to protect American embassies, more expensive contracts for guarding overseas posts and funding for State Department operations in fiscal 2014.
The $15.6 billion bill would match the White House request for $2.65 billion in funds to improve embassy security.
