Hitachi Denies Report on NT$60 Billion Taiwan Parts Purchase

Hitachi Ltd. denied a report in the Economic Daily News that it will buy NT$60 billion ($2 billion) of parts in Taiwan.
“The report is not true,” Hisahiro Sakai, a Tokyo-based spokesman for Hitachi, said by telephone today.
